WATERWAYS

image-asset.jpeg

Paddle Out is located on the Intercoastal Waterway. This water way is connected to the ocean and was created so ships could safely travel up and down the coast without ever having to go out to sea. The Intercoastal Waterway runs all the way from Manasquan down to Florida, beginning and ending in Manasquan. These water ways have many different areas to explore by kayak or paddle board and depending on wind and tide direction we can suggest a route that will be safe and fun for each group.

FAQ

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

We're right on the intercoastal waterway, connecting the ocean to the river. 537 E Main St. Manasquan, NJ 08736

WHAT DO I NEED TO CARRY?

We bring all equipment to and from the launch site. Our staff will help you in and out of the water. You will not need to carry or transport any paddle boards or kayaks.

DO I HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WIND AND THE WEATHER?

Depending on the tide and wind direction, our staff will advise your group on the best route.

CAN I BRING MY OWN EQUIPMENT?

Yes, bring all equipment directly to the launch site.  Please practice social distancing protocol during launch and return.

DO YOU PROVIDE ANY STORAGE?

We do not have any on site storage. Please keep all items you do not want to bring with you for the duration of your paddle in your car or at home.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

We do not have a parking lot at Paddle Out, but plenty of street parking is available around the shop. Please allow yourself ~15 minutes before your reservation to find a space.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

  • Bathing suit, shorts and/or t-shirt. You'll want to wear something comfortable that you won’t mind getting wet (we have a changing room at shop for your convenience)

  • You can bring flip flops or shoes, but we don’t advise wearing them during your paddle

  • Sunscreen, hat, visor. Protection from the sun, especially if you are sensitive, is advised

  • On that note, drink plenty of water before your paddle

  • If you are bringing a cell phone, we recommend bringing a waterproof case (preferably, one that floats)

  • A watch (time flies on the water)

  • Sunglasses at your own risk.  Bring your croakies if you have them.

  • Backpacks with food and beverages etc. are welcomed, however...

  • NO ALCOHOL!

Please note that there are no garbage cans along our routes. Whatever comes with you onto the water needs to come back with you to dry land. Help us keep the area beautiful by being responsible for your items.
